Host Kevin O'Connor meets appliance repairman Richie Isaacson to learn how to maintain kitchen appliances. Then, Kevin, along with landscape contractor Roger Cook, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, and general contractor Tom Silva ask "What Is It?" Afterward, Tom helps a homeowner install a rain gutter, downspout, and rain barrel.

Maintaining Kitchen Appliances
Repairman Richie Isaacson shows Kevin how to maintain major kitchen appliances, including dishwashers, ranges, and refrigerators.

Kevin and Richie visited the Bay State School of Technology. They offer many courses in appliance repair, electronics, and HVAC technology.

Roger asks the guys to identify a plastic device with ridges.

The Down Under Plant Stand is manufactured by Plant Stand, Inc. and available at many garden centers.

Installing a Rain Gutter
Tom helps a homeowner install a rain gutter, downspout, and rain barrel.

Where to find it?
Tom installed standard 24-gauge aluminum gutters. The gutters, hidden hangers, end caps, and all other accessories were purchased through Harvey Building Products. Home centers carry gutters in stock lengths - for custom lengths, check with a local building supply company.

The rain barrel that Tom installed was a 57-gallon Salsa Rain Barrel. The diverter system was the DiverterPro. Both are manufactured by Fiskars
