That's A Good Question!

This week's featured question comes to us from Leslie Goodling, and this fan writes:

Hello, I am looking for some information for my father. He said he watched an episode within the last two months that had table saw tips and can not remember one of the details. He is trying to figure out if car wax is recommended to help the boards slide easier?

I have searched the web site and came up empty handed, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you - Leslie

The general rule is to avoid car wax because most contain silicone. If the silicone gets on the wood it can prevent finishes from properly adhering. Paste wax for furniture is a good choice because they usually don't contain silicone. Search the internet for "silicone free paste wax" and you'll find several choices.
