David: This Old House - Episode #3207
Roger replaces the existing concrete front walk with a beautiful new bluestone design. They jackhammer out the old walk and start the prep for new. Tom shows Kevin the modifications he specified on the replacement windows to make them more acceptable to the Historic Commission. On the third floor, tile contractor Mark Ferrante, uses a shower waterproofing system made up of prefab components that can be customized for any size shower. We're not the only ones planning a modern house inside the shell of an old one?architect Michael Kim shows Kevin how he did just that in Brookline, and how modern and traditional can live in harmony. Painting contractor Mauro Henrique starts paint prep and shows Kevin the shades of yellow the homeowner is considering for the exterior.

Plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey heads to Colorado Springs to install a brand new kitchen sink and faucet. Then, general contractor Tom Silva installs insulated sidelights on a front door.

New Kitchen Sink and Faucet
Richard heads to Colorado to help a homeowner install a new kitchen sink and faucet.

Where to find it?
Richard installed a Blanco 18 gauge stainless steel sink, model number 440238.

The faucet was an Addison single handle pull-down kitchen faucet manufactured by Delta Faucet.

Many of the supplies for this project were provided by Water Systems, Inc. of Denver, Colorado.

Richard used the Worker's Lounge under-sink pad while working in the sink cabinet.

Installing Sidelights
Tom replaces a pair of sidelights on a front door with new, insulated ones.

The sidelights that Tom installed were manufactured by Rogue Valley Door (www.roguevalleydoor.com) and purchased from J&C Adams, Co Inc.
