| This Old House Will Premier The Cambridge House In October
David: This article is from the boston.com web site. It was posted by Brock Parker Beginning Oct. 4, PBS will feature 15 episodes of “This Old House” based on the extensive renovations to a 125-year-old home in Avon Hill near Porter Square, according to the show.
The home owned by Cambridge couple Sally Peterson and John Stone is being renovated in a modern Scandinavian style designed by architect Marcus Gleysteen.
Kevin O’Connor, the host of the show, and Tom Silva, a longtime cast member and general contractor, began shooting the first episodes in April documenting the renovations.
Producers of “This Old House” selected the Cambridge home after an extensive search that included hundreds of submissions for people wishing to be part of the show.
A second home built circa 1935 in rural Essex, Ma., will be featured in 11 episodes that will premiere in January of 2013.
The two Massachusetts homes are part of the 33rd season for “This Old House” and the two locations were chosen for a city and country theme this year.
Show times can be found in local listings or by checking www.thisoldhouse.com/tvschedule.
